Certified Organic. This lot is a 2009/2010 crop.
The distincitive Nakhaki coffees come from the Uchumachi, Colonia Kantutani, Caranavi Province in the Yungas of La Paz, Bolivia. They are expertly tendered and carefully processed by this small group of organic farmers that protect their envinronment with shade trees and ecological processing. Their micro-lot coffees include Typica and Red Caturra varieties. This is our third purchase from the indigenous enterprise. We really enjoyed this coffee again and we decided to buy the whole 60-sack micro-lot during our 2009 farm tour wich included a visit with family patriarch, Manuel Olori.
Duing the 2007 Cup of Excelence competition, the Nakhaki "B" submission obtained third place with an international-jury score of 90.43. We are very proud of the Nakhaki - Aymara Coffee enterprise and are honored to offer their coffees to our customers as Nakhaki's first international buyer and proud cheerleader. You may want to visit their website: www.nakhaki.org. You will find our name in their posted picture of exported coffee bags!
