The Cup of Excellence® Progran in Bolivia started in 2004. Its predecesor in 2003 was "Cupping the Mountain's Peak" (Catando el Pico de la Montana), which was an international success. Except for 2006, when the program was cancelled for economic and political reason, Bolivia has been hosting a succesful (and very profitable for the farmers) Cup of Excellence® competition every year since. We have been buying such coffees every year since 2003. Bolivia is a south of the Equator coffee producer.
