Nicolas Colque Mamani's farm is located at an altitude of 1,400 to 1,600 meters (4,200 to 4,800 feet) above sea level on Colonia Kollasuyo, Carrasco La Reserva County, Province of Caranavi, Department of La Paz, Republic of Bolivia. Nicolas is a young grower and has been growing coffee only for a few years. This is our first purchase directly from him. However, we have bought coffee from his Cooperative, Antofagasta, before.

2008/2009 crop.
Vacuum-packed at origin.
Organic and Fair Trade® certified.
We were very impressed with the bright acidity and velvety finish of this coffee lot. We like to roast it medium dark (just before second crack) to highlight its orange, citrusy acidity and rich mouth feel. This lot obtained fifth place on the 2008 Bolivia COE National Winners Competition, missing by sixty-eight/hundreds of a point being included as a Cup of Excellence coffee. We bought the whole lot at the international auction.
